Stamp Duty killed the urge to move for a lot of families around here. A £1.5 million home in Battersea (not an unusual number), means it costs roughly £90,000 just to move. So people are chooisng not too. They stay and renovate instead.

Wandsworth is consistently near the top of planning application tables in England. Walk down any street in SW11 or SW12 on a weekday and you'll see skips, scaffolding and a builder's van. The side-return extension and loft conversions are almost like a rite of passage.

The Problem Nobody Solves Until It's Urgent

A family is six weeks out from a kitchen extension. The contractor has told them the ground floor needs to be completely cleared before work starts. They've got a Victorian terrace in Earlsfield or Balham without side access, a driveway, and nowhere to put a storage unit even if they wanted one. These are people who plan carefully and expect the same from whoever they hire. Collection and storage works well here because most streets have no practical space for onsite storage.

Balham, SW12 — a lot of buyers here stretched to get in and are now improving what they've got. Extension activity is high. We do a lot of repeat work in SW12 because people tend to phase it; kitchen extension first, loft conversion a few years later.

Putney, SW15 — slightly older, slightly higher income demographics. Long-term owners. Loft conversions are common and furniture storage during the build is almost always needed. We've had customers here use us twice in five years.

Wandsworth and Earlsfield, SW18 — our patch. Long-term owner-occupiers who invest in their properties properly. We know these streets well and we're usually 5 - 10 minutes away.
