One form of ID (driving licence, passport or student card, plus a photo of you holding it), an emergency contact, and the first month by debit or credit card. Payments run monthly in advance. Signup is online - you don’t need to come in.

Move in
Bring it yourself and park on site, or we collect (booking required). You get your own private PIN for entry and can come and go during access hours, as often as you like, at no extra charge.
Other self storage facilities won’t pack your flat. We will. Our team brings a van to your door, loads it, and takes it into storage at West Molesey - or anywhere else you want it. Collection is an additional charge, from £129.00 for a 35 sq ft unit.

What’s the minimum rental period, and how much notice do I have to give?
You can rent by the week. To leave, we need 30 days’ written notice. There’s no annual contract and no exit fee. If your move falls through before you’ve moved in, cancelling a self storage booking costs nothing.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. You pay for the unit, and you need to be insured - either proof your household policy covers goods in storage, or our Store Protection cover. Access during opening hours is free and unlimited. Out-of-hours access may carry a charge. If we collect your belongings, collection and redelivery are priced separately and quoted up front.
Do I need insurance to store with you?
Yes. We’re full members of the Self Storage Association, and that means your goods have to be covered. Either send us confirmation from your insurer, or take our Store Protection on a new-for-old basis for the value you declare.
When can I get to my unit?
Seven days a week during access hours, as often as you like, with your own PIN:

What can’t I store?
- Perishable/food items - anything that can rot, attract pests, or smell
- Living things - plants, animals
- Flammable, explosive or combustible materials - petrol, gas canisters, fireworks, paints/solvents in bulk, oxygen tanks
- Toxic, hazardous or corrosive substances - chemicals, asbestos, clinical/medical waste
- Firearms, ammunition and weapons
- Illegal goods - stolen property, drugs, counterfeit goods
- Currency, deeds, or irreplaceable/priceless items
- Anything that could damage the unit, building, or other tenants’ goods
- Uninsured or improperly packed hazardous items

What if I need a bigger unit later?
Usually straightforward. Subject to what’s free at the site we’ll move you into a larger unit or give you a second one. If West Molesey is full, we have space at our other locations and we’ll work it out with you.
Can you collect my things, or do I have to bring them?
Either. Park on site and move in yourself, or we can do the heavy lifting for you. We load it and store it - from £129.00 for a 35 sq ft unit. Kiwi Movers can also do a full packing and removals job if you’d rather not touch any of it.
